Mark Austell graduated from the University of Alabama in 1975. Upon graduation, Mark started working in sales for McShan Lumber Company. He worked for 12 years for McShan, which included six years as sales manager and four years as president. In 1987, Mark left McShan to start Austell Forest Products, Inc. From 1987 to the present, Austell Forest Products, Inc. has expanded from wholesaling southern yellow pine lumber to wholesaling and remanufacturing yellow pine and hardwood lumber.
Austell Forest Products has, from the start, strived to provide others with excellent products and service. With the help of plant manager, Robert Montgomery, and over 20 employees, our goal is to provide good products, on time, while building long lasting relationships with our suppliers and customers. We understand and appreciate the trust our customers place in us, and we strive to always deliver above and beyond what is expected.
Austell Forest Products Inc. has tapped the services of Robert Montgomery as plant manager. Robert began his career in the wood products industry in 1993 after a five year tour of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. He has managed lumber remanufacturing facilities, as well as, high production pallet and crating operations with dry kilns, trucking, and sales as part of his duties.
